This Cd Rom is made of pages written in HTML (Hyper Text Marked Language) and may be seen through any browser. It is divided into five sections as follows:

- List of the observed transits of Venus
This section allows the access to a chronological list of most of the voyages made for the observation of the transits of Venus. This list is not exhaustive, either because we were not able to find the texts, or because we thought that it was not interesting to include it in this Cd Rom. A subjective choice has been made in order to limit the amount of data on this CD Rom and to keep only interesting texts.

- Commented and guided tour
In this section, the links towards selected voyages are preceded by some comments in order to let the reader know where are some peculiarities and to draw his attention towards the most interesting texts. Here also, a subjective choice, which has been explicited, was made. It will allow the reader to avoid a long search for what he wishes to find.

- Direct links
This section proposes links towards the books or periodics themselves, sorted by title, independantly of the expeditions included in these books. Then, it will be possible to have a direct access to any collection of texts and to see how and in what context the relations of voyages are published.

- Iconography
In order to find more easily the figures, drawings, engravings and photographs included in the publications gathered on this CD Rom, this section allows to reach them directly.

- Canons of the passages
This section provides the list of all the transits of Mercury from 1500 to 2500AD and Venus occurring from -3000 to +3000AD. For the historical period, maps of visibility of the transits are provided, allowing to see in what conditions, the astronomers participating to the voyages made their observations.

Each image of fac-simile is included in an html page. Going from one page to another is done thanks to links as indicated below:
