M. le Consul de France à Honolulu adresse à M. le Président quelques documents concernant les résultats obtenus dans l'observation du passage de Vénus, par les expéditions anglaises, à Honolulu, à l'île d'Hawaï et à l'île de Kanai.

PAGES 5-6		ILES SANDWICH, HONOLULU (OAHU)	TUPMAN			Expédition à Honolulu, Oahu, (îles Sandwich), par Tupman Voyage et installation. L'expédition embarque à bord de l'Illimani et du Britannia à Liverpool, respectivement le 3 juin 1874 et le 18 juin 1874. Arrivée à Honolulu le 9 septembre. Pendant le voyage, ils préparent les tables auxiliaires, tiennent un journal météorologique. Ils sont accueillis à Honolulu par Sa Majesté le roi Kalakaua. Ils trouvent un site pour l'observatoire dans l'extrême sud de la ville. Tupman mentionne l'observation faite par David Flitner à Waiakiki.
